Simply Easier Payments Gives Back: Supporting PORCH and the Durham Rescue Mission This Holiday Season
At Simply Easier Payments, giving back to our community isn’t just something we do once a year, it’s a core part of who we are. This holiday season, our team had the privilege of partnering with two incredible local organizations whose missions directly impact families in need: PORCH Chapel Hill–Carrboro and the Durham Rescue Mission.
Supporting PORCH: Stocking the Pantry for Winter
PORCH’s programs ensure that families, schools, and pantries in our community have access to fresh and non-perishable food. Thanks to generous donors and dedicated volunteers, children and families across Chapel Hill and Carrboro can count on nutritious meals and snacks that might otherwise be out of reach. On December 19, our team will volunteer onsite to help PORCH prepare their pantry for winter. We will spend the day cleaning, organizing shelves, and stocking food so families will have what they need during the coldest months of the year. It’s inspiring to see how PORCH transforms donations into real, immediate support for local households. In addition to volunteering, we opened our office as a collection site, making it easier for our team, clients, partners, and community members to contribute food items directly to PORCH. We are so grateful for all the generous donations.
Collecting Toys for the Durham Rescue Mission
The holiday season can be especially difficult for families facing financial hardship. That’s why we also organized a toy collection drive supporting the Durham Rescue Mission. Every year, the Mission gives away thousands of Christmas toys to children in need and for many children this is the only gift they will receive. Thanks to the generosity of our clients, partners, and local community, we were able to donate a meaningful number of toys to brighten Christmas morning for kids who truly deserve joy and hope.
