How much does insurance payment processing cost?
Cost depends on how you bill. On agency bill, the fee is typically passed to the insured as a convenience fee, so the agency’s hard cost is close to zero. On direct bill, carriers absorb interchange — which is where card qualification and Level II/III data make the biggest difference. Most carriers we work with reduce their effective rate meaningfully once transactions are optimized.
Run your current rate through our fee comparison on the direct bill page to see where you stand.
